Though we have been less active in recent times, we are always on the look out for interesting pieces that could add to the discussion of anarchist pedagogies, whatever those might be.
Originally posted on Scuola Libertaria's blog, we found that their article outlined a much ignored aspect of Maria Montessori's 'method'. As such, we wanted to help it to reach more people by translating it to English. We also would like to highlight that there are some critiques of Ferrer's schooling and the curriculum in similar schools that should be made, but that does not undermine the discussion on Montessori. We still find this piece necessary for the critique it brings.
